What is DIGITAL PRESS?
Research evaluation equipment that applies axial force while managing load, position and temperature. A separate electrochemical analyzer measures the cell's electrical response.
Why evaluate solid-state batteries under pressure?
Contact between solid electrodes and solid electrolytes can affect resistance and polarization. Compare pressure, temperature and loading history as well as material composition.
Is the press only used to apply high force?
Its main purpose is to compare cell responses under defined mechanical conditions, linking actual load, position and temperature to electrochemical results.
What do the press and external analyzer measure?
The press manages load, position and temperature. The external analyzer measures voltage, current and impedance. Keep the data sources and units distinct.
Can DIGITAL PRESS measure EIS by itself?
No. EIS requires a separate electrochemical analyzer. The four-terminal connection connects the analyzer to the sample; it is not an impedance analyzer.
Does using the equipment guarantee better cell performance?
No. It evaluates performance under defined conditions and does not guarantee improvement for every material.
Does the equipment automatically identify voids or cracks?
Electrical responses and mechanical histories provide clues, but do not establish the cause automatically. Structural, surface or imaging analysis may be needed.
What is a typical evaluation workflow?
Record the sample and conditions, set loading and temperature steps, verify stabilization, then perform electrochemical measurements. Preserve the mechanical history and electrical results under a common test ID.
How is the press used for electrolyte pellets?
Compare pellet resistance and contact response under different loading conditions. Do not attribute changes in total resistance to intrinsic conductivity unless bulk and contact contributions are separated.
Can coatings or interlayers be compared?
Yes. Compare treated and untreated interfaces under matched cell configurations and pressure conditions, including whether performance is retained at lower pressures.
Can lithium-metal symmetric cells or full cells be evaluated?
The equipment can support studies relating pressure to polarization, impedance and indications of short circuits. Confirm jig, atmosphere and electrical compatibility first.
Can composite electrode formulations be compared?
Compare pressure-dependent responses for different compositions, particle sizes and forming conditions. Record electrode geometry and manufacturing history.
Can the minimum operating pressure be investigated?
Compare performance across pressure steps to evaluate low-pressure operation for a particular cell. There is no single optimum pressure for all materials.
Can temperature and pressure effects be separated?
Use a condition matrix that changes one main factor at a time while recording actual load and temperature. Verify both thermal and mechanical stabilization.
What should be considered for sulfide electrolytes?
Manage storage, transfer and assembly atmospheres and exposure history with moisture sensitivity in mind. Sealed-jig and inert-atmosphere suitability must be confirmed for each configuration.
Are SEM, XPS or CT measurements also needed?
Structural, chemical or imaging analysis may be necessary to establish the cause of interface changes. Link complementary results using the sample ID.
Which models appear in the documents?
The general manual mentions TPU-001, TPU-010 and TPU-040; the communication manual mentions TPU-040B. Common descriptions do not establish identical specifications across models.
How do TPU-040 and TPU-040B differ?

What force resolution is listed?
The general specification lists normal-force resolution below 1 kgf. Confirm the applicable model and distinguish resolution from accuracy.
Can the stated basic accuracy of 1% be treated as a system guarantee?
No. Its reference basis and applicable range are unclear, so it cannot be extended to guaranteed system accuracy.
How is load controlled?
The general specification describes manual and PID control and a pressure-mode designation. Confirm the actual model and implementation.
What does a difference between SV and PV mean?
SV is the target load; PV is the currently measured or displayed load. Check the actual trend rather than assuming target attainment.
Does reaching the target mean the force remains constant?
Target attainment and load stability during measurement must be checked separately.
What load fluctuation is acceptable?
The documents do not define one universal tolerance for all samples. Define acceptance criteria in the test plan.
How do kgf and MPa differ?
kgf is a unit of force. MPa is a unit of pressure, meaning force per unit area.
How is load converted to pressure?
Average pressure is P = F/A. Use consistent units and state the area definition.
What pressure results from 1,000 N on a 10 mm diameter sample?
Assuming uniform force transfer over the circular area, average pressure is approximately 12.73 MPa.
Does equal force produce equal pressure on different sample sizes?
No. Different effective loading areas produce different average pressures at the same force.
Should punch, sample or electrode area be used?
Use the area defined for the force-transfer model and state that choice explicitly.
Does F/A give local interface pressure?
No. It gives average pressure over the defined area and does not directly determine the local stress distribution.
Are forming pressure and test pressure the same?
Record manufacturing or forming pressure separately from the operating pressure maintained during measurement.
Should loading and unloading both be measured?
Recording both paths is useful when studying reversibility and path dependence.
What travel distance is listed?
The specification lists 30 mm travel. Confirm the actual configuration.
What position resolution is listed?
The supplied specification lists distance resolution below 1 μm. Resolution is not a statement of sample-thickness accuracy.
Does 30 mm travel allow a 30 mm thick sample?
Not necessarily. Actuator travel and available sample mounting height are different constraints.
Can displayed position be used directly as sample thickness?
Not without calibration and correction. Equipment position is not automatically the absolute sample thickness.
Which reference state should be used for displacement?
Define the reference before testing, such as after mounting, contact detection or target-load attainment.
Does Show origin distance reset the origin?
The document describes showing or hiding an absolute-distance graph referenced to the origin, rather than resetting the origin.
What is the return-position setting?
It is described as setting a return location to reduce unnecessary travel to the origin after stopping. Confirm the actual return behavior.
Does position change at constant load prove sample creep?
No. Time-dependent sample or jig deformation is possible, but position alone does not establish the cause.
What temperature range is listed?
The general specification states room temperature to 80 °C. Confirm the model-specific specification and options.
What does 0.1 °C temperature resolution mean?
It describes the resolution of the temperature indication or controller, not guaranteed sample-temperature accuracy.
Do negative temperatures or 100 °C screen examples establish operating limits?
No. Controller illustrations do not establish equipment cooling capability or permissible operating temperatures.
Is temperature PV the internal sample temperature?
PV is the reading at the sensor location. It cannot automatically be treated as the internal sample temperature.
Can EIS start immediately when temperature reaches its target?
Target attainment and thermal equilibrium of the sample and jig must be verified separately.
Is an additional 10-minute wait always required?
No. The additional 10 minutes described is a particular high-temperature ceramic/jig application example, not a universal rule.
Can heating change load or position?
Yes. Thermal expansion of the sample, jig and frame, and material changes, can influence both.
What does the FAN switch do?
It switches the convection fan on or off. Follow the approved cooling procedure when deciding when to turn it off.
Which front-panel controls are described?
The door, LCD, FAN, temperature controller, RUN/STOP, CONTROL, POWER and status indicators.

What do the four-terminal names mean?
WE, WE_ref, CE and CE_ref distinguish current-carrying and voltage-sensing connections. Use the approved analyzer and jig wiring diagram.
Do four probes measure four cells simultaneously?
No. Four terminals do not mean four independent measurement channels.
Are pellet, coin and pouch cells all supported?
Photos and common descriptions do not establish compatibility or supply of jigs for every cell format.
Can RS232 and RS485 use the same connection?
Do not assume compatibility from connector appearance. Verify the interface standard and approved wiring.
Should measurement leads be connected to protective earth?
Connect measurement leads according to the approved analyzer and jig diagram. Measurement wiring and protective earth serve different purposes.

How long is the specified warm-up?
The supplied general manual calls for at least one hour after power-on for rated accuracy. Follow the applicable model documentation.
How do rotating and pressing CONTROL differ?
Rotation changes menu selections or numbers. Pressing selects items or switches editing states.
What are PV and SV?
PV is the currently measured or displayed value. SV is the user-defined target value.
Can the sample be removed when Stopped is displayed?
Stopped alone does not establish zero residual load, room temperature or safe access. Follow the model-specific procedure.
Does closing the door establish that an interlock is active?
Confirm interlock presence and operation in the safety documents for the installed model.
Where is the target load set on the panel?
The document describes pressing the knob from the Stopped screen to enter Set Load.
Is changing the number sufficient to save the load setting?
Apply the value with Save and Exit, then check the final SV on the main screen.
How is the running state checked after saving the target?
The described sequence uses RUN/STOP to start and displays Running. This does not by itself prove target attainment or stabilization.
Can the target load be changed while Running?
The document describes target adjustment using the knob while Running. Confirm increments and application behavior, then reassess stabilization.
Does Manual Control mean manual movement?
The menu is shown, but the controlled object, directions and continuous or step behavior are not fully established.
What are the actual high, normal and low speeds?
Speed choices are illustrated, but numerical mm/min values and applicable movement phases are not confirmed.
Does Tare physically remove load?
No. Tare zeros the measurement indication; it does not release physical load or stored elastic energy.
Can Tare replace sensor calibration?
No. Zero setting does not replace sensitivity, linearity or repeatability verification, or a calibration certificate.
What should be recorded when zeroing?
Record the test ID, execution time, reference state, PV before and after zeroing, warm-up status and temperature.
How is target temperature entered on the front controller?
The documented basic sequence is SET, adjust with the arrow keys, then SET again. Verify the actual controller, units and allowed range.
Does an automatically closed temperature-edit screen mean the value was saved?
No. Check the final SV. The supplied description mentions returning to the operating screen after 30 seconds without a key press.
Should the temperature start/stop key be held for two or three seconds?
The supplied descriptions contain both durations. Verify the actual controller and its approved instructions rather than assuming one universal duration.
Does stopping temperature control cool the equipment immediately?
No. Stopping control does not establish immediate cooling or safe touch conditions. Check residual heat and follow the approved cooling sequence.
Must loading always precede heating?
The general overview describes that sequence, but it is not a universal test procedure. Define the order for the sample and jig and verify mechanical and thermal stabilization.
Can samples be mounted or removed using only this FAQ?
No. A procedure specific to the model and jig is required, including orientation, alignment, fastening, insulation, permitted conditions and access criteria.
What should be checked at test completion?
Separately verify temperature-control and press stop states, residual load, return position, cooling, external measurement and file saving.
Is RUN/STOP an emergency stop?
A normal RUN/STOP control must not be treated as equivalent to a safety-circuit emergency stop. Verify the installed equipment's emergency procedure and safety circuit.
Can the equipment be restarted immediately after cycling power or clearing an alarm?
Check the cause and mechanical, thermal and electrical state, and follow an approved recovery procedure before restarting.
Which control-software screens are described?

Open Data Folder is described as showing the storage location. Verify the actual path and saved files.
What can Data Viewer do?
It loads files, replots graphs and adjusts X- and Y-axis ranges.
Does Clear delete saved files?
The document describes clearing the displayed graph. Do not interpret it as file deletion; verify actual files and saving state.
Where is the communication port selected?
The document describes selecting and saving the serial port in Setup. Confirm drivers and serial settings in the installation documentation.
Are the saved-file format and column names fully specified?
A CSV path appears in an example, but the complete version-specific format, columns, units and timestamps are not established. Inspect actual exported files.
What is Interval mode?
It saves data at regular intervals; the documented default is one second. This is not automatically the sensor acquisition or control-response period.
When does Change detection save data?
It is described as saving when the current value differs from the previous value. Confirm thresholds, timing and whether transients can be missed.
Do ten USB updates per minute contradict one-second saving?
These statements may describe different stages. Sensor acquisition, PC reception, display updates and file saving are not established as identical periods.
How do control response, communication and saving periods differ?
They concern physical response, data transfer and file recording respectively. Faster saving does not automatically mean faster sensing or precise synchronization.
How is the actual data period verified?
In an approved preliminary check, compare command times, PV changes and saved timestamps. Record timing gaps, delays and failure behavior.
Can file creation time be used as measurement start time?
File timestamps alone do not establish command or measurement times. Use equipment logs and common events, preserving any correction and its basis.
What does each device do in a BioLogic setup?
The press provides mechanical and thermal conditions. BioLogic and EC-Lab apply electrical excitation and acquire voltage, current and impedance.
What are the main integration components?
The documented setup includes a control PC, EC-Lab, CellTesterTCPclient/server, the press, jig, sample and BioLogic analyzer. Verify models, channels, cables and software versions.
How do commands reach the press from EC-Lab?
EXTAPP launches the client, which relays press commands through the server. The communication manual describes RS232 to the press; verify the installed path.
When should CellTesterTCPserver run?
The server handles equipment communication and is described as remaining running while EC-Lab invokes the client. Confirm reconnect and duplicate-instance behavior.
Are all BioLogic models and EC-Lab versions compatible?
Confirm analyzer, channel, firmware, EC-Lab and client/server compatibility before purchase or integration.
Does TCP imply simultaneous control from multiple PCs or of multiple presses?
No. The name alone does not establish remote-network or multi-device support. Verify the approved architecture and concurrent-control scope.
Does successful communication prove the EIS wiring is correct?
No. Check analyzer channels, polarity, cables, correction and electrode contact independently.
Does integration automatically interpret pressure-dependent data?
Integration and analysis are separate functions. Confirm analysis support for the actual configuration and preserve test IDs, measurement intervals and analysis settings.
What is EXTAPP in EC-Lab?
It places execution of an external program into the technique sequence. In the described setup it launches the client and passes commands as parameters.
Which executable is selected in EXTAPP?
The communication document specifies the CellTesterTCPclient path. Confirm the delivered filename, location, version and permissions, and that the server is running.
What does Wait until the application closes wait for?
It prevents progression until the external application exits. Application completion does not itself establish sample load or temperature stabilization.
Are EXTAPP Wait and the command argument W the same?
No. They operate at different levels. Confirm the installed command's target, completion and timeout behavior separately.
Can measurement start as soon as the external program finishes?
Verify actual load, temperature and position stabilization separately, using the test plan's criteria.
Can command strings use any format?
No. Spaces, colons, order and parameter syntax can affect execution. Verify the installed manual and actual responses; do not execute unverified strings.
What is a pressure-dependent EIS sequence?
Repeat condition command, actual PV check, stabilization assessment, EIS and file linkage for each condition. Set values and waits within approved sample and jig limits.
What does RUN do?
It is described as setting target load and starting operation. Confirm units, range, W behavior and completion criteria for the installed version, then check actual PV.
How do SET and RUN differ?
SET is described as setting target load only; RUN sets the load and starts operation. Confirm when values apply and the resulting operating state.
Does TIO maintain the load continuously?
The documents describe motor-control stop after target attainment but also use immediate-pause wording. Confirm timing and behavior; load can change after motor stop.
What does EST do?
It is described as ending press operation, releasing load and returning to an initial state. Verify the model-specific motion sequence and safe access conditions.
How should STO timing be managed?
The document describes motor stop after a specified time following target attainment and hardware storage of the setting. Syntax and zero-reset instructions require installed-version verification.
What does STM set?
It sets target temperature. The command description states room temperature +10 to 80 °C, differing from the general room-temperature-to-80 °C specification. Confirm actual permissible conditions.
Is RTM or RTN the correct command?
RTM is described for temperature-control start/stop, but RTN and differing colon formats also appear. Use the verified command table for the installed version.
How should integration commands be verified before testing?
Under manufacturer-approved conditions, separately verify commands, actual responses, sequence and final state, including PV, Wait behavior and saving. This is not a cell-performance test.
How should pressure-dependent impedance tests be designed?
Change pressure in steps at a fixed temperature and verify actual state and stabilization criteria at every step.
What should remain consistent in temperature-dependent EIS?
Keep actual load, geometry definitions, measurement criteria and resistance interpretation consistent at each temperature.
Can charge/discharge be compared with pressure and position history?
A test can place EIS within cycling or rest periods and link actual conditions to cycle numbers.
Can pressure and temperature be changed together?
To separate individual effects, use a condition matrix changing one main factor at a time.
Is EIS under current interpreted in the same way?
Check the DC state and assumptions of linearity and time stability as well as the spectrum.
Which EIS and cycling conditions should be recorded?
For EIS, record frequency range, amplitude, DC conditions and time. For cycling, record current density, voltage window, capacity basis and rest periods.
Can earlier test history matter at the same final pressure?
Yes. Maximum previous pressure, cumulative hold time and the loading, unloading, heating and cooling paths can affect the state.
Can cables affect high-frequency EIS?
Yes. Lead, holder and cable resistance, inductance and parasitic capacitance can affect the response.
What is the purpose of open/short correction?
It reduces parasitic impedance associated with a particular wiring and holder configuration. Use an applicable validated procedure.
Does four-wire connection remove internal sample contact resistance?
No. It does not automatically remove resistance at interfaces inside the sample.
Is a smaller EIS amplitude always better?
Too small an amplitude can increase noise sensitivity; too large an amplitude can cause nonlinear response.
What should be checked when repeated EIS spectra differ?
Review time drift in spectral shape and representative resistance, OCV, and load and temperature histories.
Does stopping the motor or heater improve EIS accuracy?
Evaluate possible noise reduction together with whether the intended mechanical and thermal conditions remain maintained.
Does passing a Kramers–Kronig test prove an interpretation is correct?
No. It supports spectral consistency assessment but does not guarantee a correct equivalent circuit or physical assignment.
Do press specifications establish EIS frequency or current range?
No. Confirm those ranges using the external analyzer and the applicable wiring and jig configuration.
Does integration automatically synchronize all timestamps?
Sequential execution does not establish precise time synchronization between separate instrument datasets.
How are times aligned between logs?
Use common events such as loading start, an actual-state change or measurement start to evaluate offsets.
Is one load and temperature value enough for a spectrum?
Report EIS start and end times and the range of actual conditions across that interval.
Do matching start/end loads prove load was maintained throughout?
No. Without a continuous log, intermediate fluctuations are unknown and maintained load cannot be claimed as verified.
Can gaps in logs be interpolated?
Document any interpolation of short gaps and do not interpolate across abrupt events. Preserve the original data.
How should test filenames be organized?
Use a common test ID linking the sample, conditions, technique, measurement order and version.
Is an analysis CSV sufficient for archiving?
No. Also retain native instrument files, unmodified logs and technique files.
How are Nyquist axes and signs read?
The common convention is Z′ horizontally and −Z″ vertically, in Ω. Confirm the actual plotting convention.
How should pressure-dependent Nyquist plots be compared?
Use the same axis ranges and aspect ratio and show frequency direction and measurement conditions.
Can a semicircle diameter be read directly as resistance?
Only for a fully observed ideal single-RC semicircle can the difference between intercepts be read as that resistance.
Should Bode plots also be examined?
Yes. Frequency-dependent impedance magnitude and phase help assess overlapping processes and frequency-range limitations.
Can spectra with different frequency ranges be directly compared?
First compare within their common frequency window and preserve all original data.
Is a plot normalized to Ω·cm² sufficient?
Also examine the original Ω data and the definitions of area and thickness.
How should a change from 120 Ω to 90 Ω be reported?
It is a 25% resistance reduction relative to the original value.
Does a smaller semicircle prove improved interface contact?
Report the observed shape and chosen resistance change first. Treat the proposed cause as an interpretation requiring additional evidence.
How should an equivalent circuit be selected?
Start with the simplest physically plausible candidate consistent with cell structure, electrodes, geometry and expected time constants.
Can R1 and R2 immediately be called bulk, grain-boundary or interface resistance?
Physical assignments require additional evidence, such as thickness, area, temperature or electrode-dependence studies.
Can a CPE's Q be reported directly as capacitance?
Except when n = 1, Q should not simply be reported as capacitance in F.
Does a 45-degree low-frequency segment prove Warburg behavior?
No. Shape alone does not justify automatically selecting an infinite Warburg element.
Which fitting settings should be preserved?
Record circuit connectivity and element names, data range and exclusions, initial values, bounds, fixed values, weighting and software version.
Can poorly fitting frequency points be deleted?
Use documented evidence and predefined exclusion criteria. Do not delete points from the original data.
Does an overlapping fit curve mean the result is reliable?
Also examine frequency-dependent real and imaginary residuals and parameter reliability.
Can resistances from different circuits be compared directly across pressures?
First establish that identically named resistances represent the same physical process.
How is conductivity calculated from resistance?
For a uniform through-thickness current path, σ = L/(R_cond × A_elec). State the resistance and geometry definitions.
Which units give conductivity in S/cm?
Use thickness L in cm, area A in cm² and resistance R in Ω.
Which resistance belongs in a conductivity calculation?
Choose the resistance corresponding to the intended bulk, total-electrolyte or apparent response, and state the interpretation.
What is conductivity for 10 mm diameter, 0.80 mm thickness and 100 Ω?
Assuming uniform current and that circular area, approximately 1.019 mS/cm.
Does a 20% resistance reduction mean a 20% conductivity improvement?
No. Resistance and conductivity change rates are not equal, and thickness and area may also change.
Can initial thickness be used during loading?
If initial geometry is used, disclose the assumption and report apparent conductivity referenced to the initial geometry.
How does ASR differ from conductivity?
ASR is interface resistance multiplied by electrical area, with units Ω·cm². It is not conductivity.
What affects conductivity uncertainty?
Consider thickness, resistance and area inputs, temperature, and model-selection effects.
What matters when estimating activation energy from conductivity?
Convert temperature to K and specify whether the model uses ln σ or ln(σT).
How are geometry-verification levels distinguished?
The document proposes four levels: directly verified, corrected estimate, initial geometry, and insufficient evidence.
Does an in-situ thickness sensor eliminate the need for correction?
First verify that it measures actual electrode separation and establish the complete measurement path.
How is observed displacement separated into sample compression?
Use a measurement model separating sample, jig, contact and thermal contributions and their errors.
Can a reference block correct jig deformation?
A block of known stiffness can assess system deformation under the same contact arrangement and pressure/temperature path.
Can recovered thickness after a test represent thickness under load?
No. Recovered and in-load thickness are not interchangeable.
Is nominal electrode area the same as actual contact area?
Distinguish mechanical loading area, geometric electrode area, microscopic contact area and effective current-carrying area.
Can resistance reduction be used to infer area and then correct conductivity?
Inferring area from the same resistance and using it to recalculate conductivity can create circular reasoning.
How is data validity assessed?
Consider raw-data completeness, mechanical and thermal stability, electrical plausibility, circuit justification and geometry evidence together.
How do valid, conditional-use and remeasurement decisions differ?
Valid data meet the defined purpose. Conditional use limits the result to particular metrics or ranges. Remeasurement is needed after the cause is addressed.
Can unexpectedly poor performance be excluded as an outlier?
No. A result must not be removed solely because it differs from expectations.
Does a unit error always require remeasurement?
If the original data allow recovery, reanalysis is possible with a documented correction history.
Can several conditions be changed at once for remeasurement?
Limit the causal hypothesis and changed factors to make the source of the problem easier to assess.
Can improved remeasurement overwrite the original file?
No. Preserve and link the original test, revised analysis and remeasurement under the same test record.
Can resolution establish accuracy without a calibration certificate?
No. Resolution differs from accuracy, repeatability and calibration status. Supporting records and conditions are required.
How do repeated EIS, reassembly and independent-sample replicates differ?
Repeated EIS tests short-term acquisition repeatability; reassembly includes mounting/contact variation; independent samples also include manufacturing variation.
Do three measurements on each of three samples mean n = 9?
There are three independent samples and nine spectra. Report those counts separately.
Are three repetitions always sufficient?
Choose replicate counts and acceptance criteria according to manufacturing, assembly and day-to-day variability and the target uncertainty.
Can repeated measurements on one sample all be treated as independent?
First determine each sample's representative value and within-sample spread, then assess variation between independent samples.
When are CV and a mean confidence interval appropriate?
CV = 100s/mean and is unsuitable for metrics with means close to zero. Check assumptions before reporting statistical intervals.
How should before/after results for the same cell be compared?
Use a paired design, calculating each sample's difference or ratio before combining results.
Can pressure order vary between replicate samples?
If irreversible pressure effects are expected, use a common loading path or deliberately separate path groups.
What belongs in a results table?
Include sample, condition, spectrum and replicate IDs; actual pressure, temperature and path; fitting settings; geometry; results, uncertainty and assessment.
Which plots should a report include?
Include load, position and temperature histories with EIS intervals, Nyquist and Bode plots on consistent axes, and fitting residuals.
How should observations and causes be distinguished?
State the measured change first, then separate possible mechanisms and the additional evidence needed to establish them.
What should be checked before report approval?
Verify units, signs and rounding; force versus pressure; conductivity versus ASR; and independent sample count versus spectrum count.
Can the latest document be identified from the filename date alone?
No. Filename and cover dates may differ, and the revision relationship between communication manuals V1 and V2 may be unclear.
Can calculation examples be presented as product performance results?
No. Illustrative calculations are neither equipment performance guarantees nor actual cell-test results.
Are all interpretation methods and correction equations built into the product?
Technical explanations, review templates and proposed test designs must be distinguished from implemented software functions.
What should be checked if the press ignores integration commands?
Separately check the running server, client path, COM/RS232 connection, command string and press state.
What if EC-Lab proceeds without waiting?
Check EXTAPP Wait, client exit behavior and the technique sequence.
Should communication software be reinstalled first when EIS is unstable?
First separate electrical wiring, contact, channel, shielding, correction, technique settings and sample-state issues.
Should the target be increased if the load is not reached?
Check saved settings, operating state, sample, jig and errors, then follow approved criteria for target-not-reached conditions.
Does the system automatically recover after power or communication loss?
Confirm recovery and restart behavior using the installed model's approved procedures.
What are the calibration, cleaning and replacement intervals?
Use the manufacturer's maintenance instructions for the applicable model and operating conditions.
What warranty and technical-support terms apply?
Confirm the applicable quotation, contract and warranty document.
Which sample information is needed for consultation?
Prepare shape, diameter or length/width, thickness, layer structure, electrode area and materials.
What should a load and temperature inquiry specify?
Separate forming and operating pressure, state the area definition, and give target temperature ranges, paths and hold times.
What is needed to reuse existing BioLogic equipment?
Provide analyzer model and channel, EC-Lab version and intended techniques such as EIS, cycling or OCV.
How should the research objective be described?
Prioritize the intended outcome, such as pressure-dependent contact resistance, conductivity, low-pressure performance, temperature dependence or cycle life.
Can customer samples and existing jigs be used immediately?
Suitability must be assessed against sample geometry and the jig's mechanical, electrical, thermal and environmental conditions.
Should required output files be agreed in advance?
It is useful to agree native files, press logs, analysis settings, graphs and report formats before testing.
How are price, lead time, installation and training confirmed?
Discuss the required configuration and installation environment during quotation review. Scope and schedule are confirmed individually.
Do the supplied materials include actual raw test results?
Actual results must be verified together with the equipment model, test conditions and raw data. Illustrations alone are insufficient.
Is this FAQ an original operating manual?
No. It is a technical reference. Actual operation requires the applicable model's operating manual.
Are the differences between BioLogic communication manuals V1 and V2 established?
Confirm their applicability using the revision history for the equipment and software versions.
Which load, position and temperature sensors are installed?
Functions are described, but individual sensor models, ratings, locations and the complete measurement path are not established by the available information.
Are overload, overtemperature and travel-limit protections all included?
Confirm the presence and operating scope of each protection function for the installed model.
Does this FAQ specify error codes and communication settings?
Use manufacturer documents matching the equipment, firmware and integration-software versions.
Does a rear Trigger label establish precise synchronization?
No. An optional terminal label alone does not establish trigger specifications or precise time-synchronization support.
Are all installation acceptance criteria predefined?
Acceptance must follow the delivered specification and site-specific agreed criteria, including environment, power, communication, jig, wiring, reference tests, safety and calibration records.
